Frequently Asked Questions

What are your requirements regarding the health and temperament of my pet?

Every dog attending group training classes must:

  • be spayed or neutered (6 months of age and older)
  • have up-to-date vaccinations (proof must be provided by owner)
  • be free of communicable diseases
  • be non-aggressive towards humans and other pets
  • have a properly fitting buckle collar and nylon or leather leash on at all times

To ensure the health and safety of your pets in our training environment, we will not accept clients who do not meet the above criteria.

How do I know if I should attend group classes or have a private consultation instead?

If your dog generally does not react negatively towards other dogs when you are on a leashed walk, they will likely be a good candidate for group classes. Group classes are a great chance for socialization, learning how to obey basic commands and also learning how to walk on a loose leash.

If your dog also has several behavioral issues such as excessive barking or growling, jumping up, inappropriate chewing, housebreaking incidents, digging or stealing food from counters, your family and dog may benefit from the one-on-one attention and time of a private consultation, to ensure successful management of your pet's behavior.

Please call us at 403-901-8821 to discuss your dog's needs and behavioral issues.
